On travels for work, and this time I decided to bring my #PS4. Nothing hurts more than watching your favorite game die rapidly because of ddos attacks #Titanfall2 One of the best FPS games ever, destroyed by people with nothing better to do. Really sad to see Titanfall DDoSing getting even worse today, with Titanfall 2 on PlayStation getting completely ruined. Update (7/9/21): In case you’re wondering, yes, servers are still having issues, and the Titanfall community has even pinned an announcement regarding it. Update (7/12/21): After a few days of issues, Titanfall 2 servers are now back up per Reddit! Go out there and soar, Pilots! Reports started earlier today, and unfortunately, it has not been fixed until now. By delisting Titanfall from stores, it’ll be less accessible and less likely to see major attacks, which in turn makes it less likely to frustrate players.While Apex Legends got hacked over the weekend by people campaigning to “save Titanfall,” it seems it’s now Titanfall 2’s turn now, as Titanfall 2 down reports have surfaced on both PS4 and Xbox One! With Titanfall suffering, another group of players disrupted Apex Legends servers with hacks over the summer in protest. But with Titanfall’s history of hackers over the past few years, the game’s removal likely has something to do with the bevy of DDOS attacks that players have seen. The simplest reason is that Titanfall is the oldest game in the company’s catalog, and naturally studios need to stop supporting games as they age. There are a few potential reasons why Respawn may have removed the game. (We reached out to Respawn asking why the developer decided to delist Titanfall, but the studio just pointed us back to its official statement from today.)
